Fitness Diet Includes Healthy Tea Drinking Daily

Since the ancient times, the use of beverages, especially tea, has a revered place in our dietary habits. The significance of this practice becomes obvious when one sees how the people who regularly drink tea enjoy many health benefits.

Best stress buster:
First and perhaps the most popular use of tea is to get relief from stress. The best tea for anxiety and stress is Ayurvedic tea made in the manner prescribed by the ancient texts and tested over time. The green teas especially are on top of everyone’s list due to the rich content of catechin, the polyphenol that is only found in green teas. This polyphenol helps burn fats and is dependent on the amount one has. If one has more tea, they burn more fat.
Shed the extra weight:
Dropping weight helps relieve stress. This is a natural offshoot of the way our body functions. Drinking tea helps people improve their metabolic functionality by providing a boost to the internal system. Of course, the effect is small but it builds over time. It has caffeine but to a lesser extent than coffee.

Brain stimulating action:
This stimulates the brain and acts on the central nervous system making the person alert. In addition, it stimulates the digestive system and makes the person energetic. The tea helps change the pH in the mouth and this might help the person avoid the formation of cavity in the teeth.

Adults can safely have up to 400 mg of caffeine a day. One small cup (about 250 – 275 ml) of coffee has 95 – 200 mg of caffeine. Black tea has 14 – 70 mg while green tea has 24 – 45 mg. Considering that you can have tea hot or cold, the popularity of this beverage has stood the test of time. It has proven medical benefits such as strengthening the immune response in our body. People drink herbal tea for immune system augmentation. This happens because the tea helps the immune cells reach their target area faster.

Stops heart attacks:
Tea has a proven effect of reducing the incidence of strokes and heart attacks. As per the statistics, there is a 20% reduction in the occurrence of strokes and a 35% reduction in the incidence of heart attacks. This happens due to the lowering of the LDL cholesterol in the blood.

The presence of antioxidants helps the body fight invasions by pathogens. You could say this action of the external pathogens is the rusting action of the body. The best-known examples of such infections are flu, cold, and cough. The bigger and more aggressive infections are HIV, AIDS, and cancer. In addition, it shows a positive action in preventing bone loss. One of the reasons for bone loss as you age is due to lesser amount of antioxidants. The tea helps improve the calcium absorption and this adds strength to the bones.

You achieve significant progress, especially in Ayurvedic formulations, only after a period when the body adjusts to the new diet. Press on with the tea in your diet and use the herbal preparations in moderation but in a timely fashion.

Ayurvedic Principles for a Healthier Life

Taxing workloads and our daily to-do lists end up making our lives stressful. We often ponder over how we can curb our stress and attain true peace of mind.

Well, here we discuss how you can draw on the doctrines of Ayurveda that lead you towards more meaningful lives by redirecting your focus on your health, well-being and creative growth. Ayurveda lays predominant emphasis on physical and mental wellness but does not neglect our holistic development and internal happiness as human souls. You can follow a particular daily routine that will help streamline the way your day gets spent on Ayurvedic guidelines.

Briefly, we should arise early in the morning even before the break of the day and let our body assimilate the gold-colour sun rays falling on the Earth’s surface. Morning time is also conducive for contemplation and meditation while our body is absorbing the Sun’s light and heat. Ayurveda endorses ingestion of the gold colour to be one of the healthiest sources of nourishment and rejuvenation. We will not only feel vitalized but the vision of our eyes will also improve if we stare at the Sun for a couple of minutes every morning during the dawn time.

A peaceful session of deep meditation can make human mind, soul and body feel revivified. With daily rounds of introspection, tranquility will adorn on our minds and souls. Additionally, during introspection, we also learn to control our illegitimate desires that unnecessarily drive our mind in wrongful directions. We can aim for longevity and healthy sustenance in the long run with meditative exercises undertaken daily.

Ayurveda also proposes that we indulge actively in exercising, performing aerobics or yoga asanas to bolster our immunity so that we can stay ready to give a combative resistance to diseases. Exercises do good to our blood circulation, flow of energy throughout our body, excretion of wastes, metabolic processes and burning of extra fat to keep us in a proper shape. Regular exercising can even help you overcome stress and anxiety, infusing your mind with a sense of peace, wellness and positivity.

As our day begins to gradually unfold, there is a progressive building up of stress and strain for our mind and body. We can resort to Ayurveda edibles and drinks in such situations as it is not always viable for us to indulge in time-consuming stress-relieving procedures. We can go for ayurvedic teas that help balance and harmonize Kapha, Vata and Pitta doshas in our bodies keeping them in requisite proportions.

The team of Butterfly Ayurveda is a dedicated group of Ayurveda adherents committed to provide effective ayurvedic products to assist you in sustaining your good health. We develop ayurvedic tea variants and medicines to enhance your all-round health and well-being with each product targeting specific health benefits.

We have designed three variants of our ayurvedic teas, namely, ‘Suprabhat Chai’, ‘Shubh Saanjh Chai’ and ‘Ratri Chai’ to be consumed in the morning, evening and night, respectively. While the Good Morning Tea and Good Evening Tea help subside your heightened Kapha and Vata doshas in morning and evening, the Night Time Tea is to relax your nervous system from the stress of the whole day to let you sleep soundly.

Our ‘Shubh Saanjh Chai’ is also called ‘Cognition Enhancer Tea’; it is a pure blend of green or black tea leaves with ayurvedic herbs, like, Tulsi, Lemongrass, Mulethi, Kali Mirch, Brahmi and Guduchi that is to be consumed ideally between 6 am to 10 am. Good Morning Tea helps subside your risen Kapha dosha during the morning hours, attuning it with the other doshas. A daily cup in the morning is helpful for energizing your nervous system, improving concentration, enhancing immunity, protecting your heart, liver & brain and removing bad breath. You can also fight a seasonal cold or cough with our ‘Suprabhat Chai’.

The ‘Shubh Saanjh Chai’ is a pure blend of black or green tea leaves with ayurvedic herbs, like, Shankhpushpi, Ajwain, Saunf, Elaichi Laghu and Mint that is to be consumed ideally between 2 pm to 6 pm. Good Evening Tea helps subside your risen Vata dosha during the late afternoon or evening hours, attuning it with the other doshas.  This tea is also called ‘Tea for Digestive Heath’ and is effective in promoting digestion after your heavy meals. You can reduce gas formation, excessive burping, bloating, nausea and improve halitosis (upleasant-smelling breath) with ‘Shubh Saanjh Chai’.

Our ‘Ratri Chai’ is a pure blend of ayurvedic herbs, like, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Guduchi, Kali Mirch, Lemongrass, Shankhpushpi and Tulsi that is to be consumed ideally between 6 pm to 10 pm to help relieve the stress and fatigue of your entire day. However, you can take ‘Ratri Chai’ whenever you like, to feel revitalized, instantaneously. Night Time Tea relaxes your nervous system so as to endow a soothing and calming effect. It also helps alleviate muscle spasms, headache & fatigue, enhance the bio-availability of other herbs, strengthen your memory & learning abilities and is a good source of anti-oxidants.

Ayurvedic Measures to Overcome Daily Stress

Stress has become a common health scourge in the contemporary times that with its covert effects can slowly do a lot of damage to your physical and mental well-being. Judicious stress management can help greatly whether you meditate, perform yogic exercises, breathe deeply, decompress, indulge in recreation, enjoy leisurely activities, unwind, repose or adopt other techniques. Daily routines with proper amount of time assigned to your stress-relieving measures can help augment their benefits manifolds.

Healthy foods and beverages can also work as your effective stress-busters with the additional advantage of easily getting incorporated in our lifestyle. You can keep your energy level up the entire day with some healthy eatables and drinks that boost your body’s strength and potential.

Here, we are going to take you through a journey expounding some Ayurvedic concepts that will be eye-openers for you to redefine your erroneous lifestyle. We will also recommend some ayurvedic drinks that can help keep the ‘tridoshas’ in your body in harmony and contribute in keeping diseases at bay.

As per the teachings of Ayurveda, there are two kinds of ‘Sharira’, the equivalent for our physical body. The ‘Sthula Sharira’ or Gross body is constituted by a blend of ‘panchambhoota’ or five universal elements, namely, Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jala), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu) and Space (akash). On the other hand, ‘Sukshma Sharira’ or Subtle body is constituted by the five jnanaindriya or sense organs, the five tanmatras (subtle elements), the five karmaindriyas or motor organs, mahat or intellect, ahamkara or ego and manas or mind.

Focusing on ‘Sthula Sharira’ or Gross body, for the time being, Ayurveda emphasizes the presence of three tridoshas or humors, viz., Vata, Pitta and Kapha in our body. Vata is the force of energy associated with motion, composed of the two elements - Air and Space. Pitta is the force composed of the two elements - Fire and Water whereas Kapha is the force of energy determining the body’s structure composed of the two elements - Earth and Water.

Balances within the internal constituents of the tridoshas, between Air & Space, Fire & Water and Earth & Water as well as among the three tridoshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha are indispensable for the sustenance of a healthy state of being. The three tridoshas are also responsible for their movement throughout our body and the activation of the other body constituents. Therefore, any kind of disturbance in the desired harmonies results in disorders and diseases. Furthermore, although the tridoshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha are present as subtle forms of energy throughout our whole body, each dosha predominates in a distinct field of action. Vata is dominant in the large intestine, Pitta is dominant in the stomach and Kapha is dominant in the heart. In other terms, each dosha has distinctive affinities for certain bodily organs as Vata is present in the lower part, Pitta is present in the middle part and Kapha is present in the upper part of the body.

You can go through the table below to learn about symptoms caused with excessive Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
